About the Coronary Angiography
Coronary angiography is a specialised X-ray test used to find out if your coronary arteries are narrowed or blocked. A small catheter is guided to the heart, and a special dye is injected so that the arteries can be seen clearly on X-ray images (fluoroscopy). This allows Dr. Singh to see exactly where and how much your arteries are blocked, guiding the best treatment plan—whether it's medication, angioplasty, or bypass surgery.
"Dr. Amit Singh specialises in the 'Radial Approach,' meaning the test is done through the wrist rather than the groin. This significantly reduces bleeding risk and allows you to walk almost immediately after the test."

Common Concerns
Providing clarity and confidence for your procedure.
Is angiography painful?
No. You will only feel a tiny prick for the local anaesthesia at the wrist. The movement of the catheter inside the arteries is not felt because there are no pain nerves inside the blood vessels.
What is the difference between CT Angio and regular Angio?
CT Angio is a non-invasive scan that is good for 'ruling out' blockages. Regular Angio is a 'gold standard' invasive test that is more accurate and allows for immediate treatment (angioplasty) if needed.
How long until I can work again?
Since we use the radial (wrist) approach, most patients can return to light office work the very next day. Avoid heavy lifting with that arm for 2-3 days.
